with Victoria Rushton
Victoria Rushton is drawing a script typeface. She will talk about why exactly, and why she thinks of it as a kind of self punishment, which it comes in handy to enjoy. She plans to share everything she’s figured out about it up until the night before this talk.
Victoria Rushton is a type designer at Font Bureau, a digital type foundry. She makes custom typefaces for clients and regular typefaces for everyone, and lettering when that all starts to be a bit too much. Last year she released her first original design, Marcia, which she kindly hopes you will license for your next ironically melancholic project. She has to go to this conference because she still owes someone a slice of dollar pizza from last year.
