CJ Dunn is a graphic designer and type designer based in New York City. He works on typefaces for Font Bureau. His graphic design work can be found at Copter Design Studio. He keeps track of type related events in New York at Type NY. He is a consultant for Society of Scribes.
He designed “Polaris, A Typographic Pop-Up” exhibition at MORI, and a pangram poster series for The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum Shop. He built a RoboFont extension called Delorean, and he is a graduate of Type@Cooper where he design a typeface called Range.
I live in Brooklyn, New York, and I work at Hoefler & Co. Previously, I was a student at the School for Poetic Computation and the Royal Academy of Art.
Hyo Kwon is a graphic designer based in New York. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (KABK) in 2007, and holds her MFA degree from the Werkplaats Typografie, in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Since her graduation in 2010, she has been working independently on projects where she collaborated closely with artists, writers, curators and designers in the Netherlands and New York, and eventually moved to New York to start her own practice. In 2013, she became a partner of the studio Kloepfer-Ramsey-Kwon together with Chad Kloepfer and Jeff Ramsey, until 2015, when Chad, Jeff and Hyo decided to go their own ways.
Her work has been recognized by international organizations such as BRNO Graphic Design Competition, D&AD, and the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO). Clients include: Anyang Public Art Project (APAP), Commercial Type, EFA Project Space, Empty Quarter Gallery, Kunstverein Amsterdam & NY, MAD Museum of Art and Design, MAXXI Rome, MoMA PS1, Museum of Chinese in America, Roll & Hill, and Seoul Museum of Art.
Since 2014, Hyo is a part-time lecturer at Parsons The New School for Design, and has been a guest lecturer/critic at the Cooper Union, Pratt Institute, University of the Arts Philadelphia, and Yale University.
